Whitby trio defrauded machines

13/11/2012

A GROUP of people are thought to have made two fruit machines in a Whitby amusement arcade pay out £500, even though no stake had been placed.

Two men (pictured) and a woman were caught on CCTV between 1.45pm and 2.45pm on Monday, October 29 at Millers Amusements, in Pier Road.

A police spokesman said it was believed two people had entered the arcade and used a device to make the cash hoppers in two machines pay out around £500, even though no stake had been placed. “A third man remained outside acting as a lookout,” he said.
