Innovative Leisure EAG Round-up

21/12/2011

Interactive family attractions specialist Innovative Leisure, based in Leicester, UK, will once again be among the exhibitors at the EAG exhibition in London in January where the company will be displaying a fully operational DigiWall attraction while also promoting its complete range of interactive family attractions.

Innovative Leisure is the exclusive supplier of a wide range of attractions suitable for almost any age and which offer fun, high energy, physically challenging activities. Included among these are climbing walls and towers, DigiWall, a computer controlled climbing wall attraction, The Rock, a motorised climbing simulator, the Water Wars water balloon game, available with the optional Depth Charge feature, a recently introduced range of major High Ropes courses and a brand new Mobile Zip Wire.

At EAG 2012, DigiWall will form the focus of the company’s display. The indoor attraction is particularly suited to soft play centres, family entertainment centres and bowling alleys where it is operated on an inclusive basis and provides something genuinely different for operators to offer, along with a new way for participants to enjoy a climbing based experience.

DigiWall is best described as a series of computer games played through a climbing wall interface. The attraction consists of several different sections, each measuring 1m. x 2.8m., with the standard version incorporating six sections. These can be placed against a flat wall, in a corner or can create a free standing unit with a total width of 4.4m or 6.4m. Customised walls are also available.

Each section of the DigiWall features 24 grips for hands and feet, each one incorporating a sensor and light which are linked to a computer. A surround sound system is another feature and a variety of games with different levels can be played by users as they climb over the wall. Unlike ordinary computer games, DigiWall provides physically challenging, computer based entertainment for a wide age range and brings a variety of new elements into the climbing wall experience, adding to the activity by providing feedback to the user through sound and the illuminated grips.

“We enjoyed a very successful EAG event in 2011 when we focused in particular on our new range of high ropes courses,” commented Innovative Leisure’s MD Phil Pickersgill. “This time, however, as well as promoting our full range of family attractions, we are highlighting DigiWall as it is an ideal attraction for operators of soft play centres and family entertainment centres, offering something really different for the end user. It’s a lot of fun and the whole family can enjoy it so we think it’s a great attraction to bring to EAG.”

Innovative Leisure will be exhibiting on stand no. 1016 at EAG 2012 at London’s ExCel exhibition centre, from January 24 – 26.
