Glynn hangs up his keys

03/08/2011

Sound Leisure driver Glynn White is retiring after an amazing 33 years delivering jukeboxes all over the country.

Glynn initially began working in the industry when he joined MHG in 1978, he then moved on to NSM for many years and for the past six, he has been part of the Sound Leisure team in Leeds.

“UK and Irish operators know Glynn very well and often enjoyed his dry sense of humour!” says Chris Black. “Unfortunately during the past few years, he has had quite a few health problems and suffered a small stroke earlier this month. Although he has made a complete recovery he is undergoing tests for various other conditions and has decided that traveling 1000 miles a week delivering jukeboxes up and down the country is possibly not the best way to recuperate!”

“Glynn is one of the old school,” adds Chris. “He attended many exhibitions over the years and knew most people within the industry. It is a shame that he has had to hang his keys up prematurely and he will be missed within Sound Leisure. We all wish him and his wife Elaine all the best for the future.”

Glynn commented “ I have been extremely fortunate to work within the Industry for so long and have some great memories and made some good friends. It is a shame to be leaving Sound Leisure and the Industry, but I am sure Chris and the lads at Sound Leisure will keep me up to date with what is going on”
