02/06/2011

Heber has announced the launch of a new product in the X-Line range. The X-PC 1600 is Heber’s new AMD Fusion based controller, which enables stunning graphic performance, is the most compact unit size Heber have ever manufactured. This exceptional performance is available at a world-beating cost with a starting point under £200.

This can operate with a 32 or 64 bit O/S platform and has two graphic outputs (DVI & VGA). Coupled with advances in the Pluto and X-line products, this can extend flexibility of gaming peripheral integration across the entire range of machines. The X-PC 1600 is a perfect package when sold together with other Heber peripherals. Heber guarantee 5 years of road-map component supply and the system runs with a choice of operating systems such as; Windows XP, Windows 7 and Linux. The application can be used in a diverse number of industrial markets which include; Vending, Kiosk, Digital Signage, LEDs and Automotive.

The X-PC 1600 is mounted inside a compact stylish casing and has a VESA wall mount option. It has a dual AMD core processor and the 12V DC input and it has, therefore, no need for direct mains connection resulting in minimal heat output, and no moving parts that in turn increase long term reliability. There is low power consumption; therefore a simple block type power supply of only 60W capacity can be purchased. The excellent graphic capability and low unit cost makes the Heber X-PC 1600 the best AMD fusion based controller to date. Les Ashton-Smith, Managing Director, said “we are delighted to be launching the most advanced AMD fusion controller to date; this is an extremely exciting time for Heber”.
