Daytona: The Must-Have Driving Game Say Operators

Operator reaction to Daytona Championship USA has been overwhelmingly positive, according to Sega, which has expanded manufacture of the legendary driving game to a second factory.

“Operators are saying that it is their number one driving game on location this summer,” says Justin Burke from Sega, adding, “Now the first wave of machines are on location we are getting requests from operators for more machines for their estate – you can’t ask for more than that!”

One such operator is Phil Ellis of Teenspirit in Skegness,  he comments, “As soon as Daytona was launched we knew we had to have it, we are really pleased with the income, and have now ordered extra ones for the other sites”.

Sega credits many factors to the game’s success; from its dual monitor set up, re-crafting of the original classic tracks, the new recreation of the current Daytona International Speedway to the fantastic ‘instant rematch’ feature.
