Triple The Toys From Whitehouse Leisure

As 2012 comes to close and thoughts turn to the excitement of the New Year, Whitehouse Leisure has announced an enterprising approach for EAG International Expo taking place at ExCel London, January 22-24th, revealing it will be providing visitors a trio of stands showcasing the very best in licensed plush toys and novelty items.

Established some 15 years ago, Whitehouse Leisure has become recognised as a premier supplier to the amusement industry covering diverse regions such as the UK, Mainland Europe and the Middle East.

Commenting on the strategy which will disperse product ranges across three stands according to specific key areas, Business Development Manager Ian Whittingham said the decision was taken in order to assist visitors with optimising their time at the show. “We will actually have three separate stands, one for our licensed and generic plush, one for redemption and pusher prizes and a third for our new Disney licensed plush collection.

“Indeed, our presentation at EAG International Expo will represent the output of an extremely busy year, with some high profile licenses being negotiated,” revealed Ian.

Whitehouse Leisure has acquired an enviable reputation for its understanding of the art and science of plush and novelty items. “Apart from the functional aspects such as durability, visual appeal, size and shape, it’s incredibly important to be tapped into popular culture and to be able to forecast the hot brands for the coming year,” said Ian.

“Having secured the hottest products, we still leave nothing to chance and we supply a wide range of point of sale material to ensure that the items are presented in an appealing way. For example, if you look at a crane, it is effectively a shop window, supplying the inside stickers and external decals along with wrapping, will enhance sales,” he explained.

Whitehouse Leisure’s portfolio for EAG International Expo reveals a veritable ‘who’s who’ of successful toy entertainment brands and while many are new others, are updated treasured classics.

Contemporary incarnations of Disney Pixar’s Nemo will be on display following the studio’s release of Finding Nemo 3D and updated, high quality versions of evergreens Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Winnie the Pooh will also feature. Appealing to a wider audience, Stewie, Brian and Peter from Family Guy will be in attendance, along with hecklers Statler and Waldorf, who will be joining their co-stars from the classic Muppets range.

Also premiering is a plush version of the 1998 sensation Furby and perfect for the crane market, Mr Blobby himself. There has already been huge interest in new ranges from the blockbuster Despicable Me 2 due for release this summer according to Ian.

“EAG International Expo is the most important show in our calendar,” he said. “We attend the event to showcase our collection for the forthcoming year and to finalise orders from customers. It’s a very important Expo for us and for many customers, it will provide the first glimpse of the new season’s products.”
